Bike Fjord Norway

Neil Rogers has been hired to support NCE Tourism Fjord Norway in the development of the Fjord Norway Bike Tourism Cluster. Focus segments include both small group guided itineraries and self guided itineraries for road biking, leisure biking and mountain biking.

Rogers helped connect NCE Tourism with interested cycling-biking tour operators  at the 2016 Adventure Travel World Summit in Anchorage Alaska. This initial tour operator list now been expanded with Rogers reaching out to North America’s and the UK’s leading cycling and biking tourism specialists.

Rogers focuses on a ‘market driven’ approach based on conducting detailed research and interviews with high value overseas tour operators followed by personal mentoring meetings with each of the Fjord Norway bike cluster members. Cluster are supported during the experience development phase followed by members being matched with relevant overseas tour operators who will test planned routes and logistics during or after the Norwegian Travel Workshop in Bergen 24-27th April, or via private FAM trips when necessary.

2017 is an important year for cycling in the Fjord Norway region. The Tour Des Fjords is held 23-28th May, 2016 and the UCI Road World Championships will be held in Bergen 16-24th September 2016.
